Hi,everyone

This is Jamie here. Nice to post something on this blog.\^0^/
This is a website that I found about the Meta-analysis:
http://www.meta-analysis.com/pages/why_do.html

Question:
1.I'm not sure which kind of the software should be used for Meta-analysis. Because I google it and I found that seems lots of open-source software could also be used. e.g. R project.
2.And I think I need a extra guidebook for this, so
Is "Meta-analysis: a guide to calibrating and combing statistical evidence" a good book for this?
Or are there any recommendations?

Thanks for Maureen's answer.:)

  1. Hi Jamie...

There are many software programs to calculate effect sizes. I think that the R project is too complicated for our purposes.
    This one may be ok...
http://www.meta-analysis.com/pages/why_use.html but it is probably more than you will need for this course.

This is an online calculator that will be sufficient for our purposes.

You won't need a guidebook...I will give you enough information (including handouts) to do this in the next class...not to worry!

    Have a great day today!
